Job summary

Synechron in Charlotte, NC is seeking an OpenShift & MCP Platform Engineer to join embedded within a development team. The role focuses on platform enablement, onboarding, CI/CD configuration, and developer productivity rather than classic DevOps operations.

You will configure OpenShift deployments, craft YAMLs, support CI/CD, and manage MCP infrastructure to enable AI-enabled applications while adhering to security standards. This is a hands-on, fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/IT/Engineering or related field.
• Hands-on deployment, platform support, or DevOps engineering experience.
• Strong OpenShift/Kubernetes container platform skills.
• Experience creating and managing YAML configurations, manifests, ConfigMaps, Secrets, Services, and Routes.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools and deployment automation frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Configure and manage deployments on OpenShift and MCP infrastructure.
• Create and maintain YAML configurations, deployment manifests, and templates.
• Support onboarding to CI/CD pipelines and deployment frameworks.
• Set up MCP infrastructure and connectivity for AI-enabled apps.
• Collaborate with developers to troubleshoot deployment, configuration, and integration issues.
• Manage application configuration, secrets, routes, services, and containers.
• Assist environment setup, releases, and platform automation.
• Ensure compliance with security and enterprise platform standards.
