Job summary

Everforth ECS seeks a Red Hat OpenShift Cloud Engineer to support DoD cloud solutions across AWS GovCloud, Azure Government, and on-prem environments. This hybrid/onsite role covers Fairfax, VA and Springfield, VA sites with possible SCIF work and four onsite days per week.

You will work with cloud and infrastructure teams to secure OpenShift platforms, implement CI/CD, and automate using Ansible, Terraform, and Helm while maintaining documentation and SOPs.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of IT infrastructure, systems administration, DevOps, container platforms, or cloud engineering.
  • At least 2 years of direct experience with Kubernetes and/or Red Hat OpenShift environments.
  • Experience administering OpenShift or Kubernetes workloads including deployments, networking, and storage.
  • DoD cybersecurity workforce qualification requirements or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

  • Deploy, configure, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot OpenShift environments per architecture and security standards.
  • Administer cluster config, upgrades, patching, node management, networking, storage, and monitoring.
  • Support Kubernetes/OpenShift workloads: namespaces, pods, deployments, routes, ConfigMaps, RBAC.
  • Collaborate with development, cybersecurity, and platform teams for onboarding and migrations.
  • Develop automation and IaC using Ansible, Terraform, Helm, and GitOps workflows.
