Job summary

STV is seeking an OpenRoads Designer (ORD) Specialist for our Water Group to provide leadership, technical guidance, and mentorship in Water-Wastewater design for our offices nationwide. The ideal candidate will lead 3D utility modeling, coordinate with teams, interface with clients, and mentor junior designers while ensuring CAD protocols and project schedules.

The role requires experience with ORD, strong collaboration skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects under tight timelines,

Qualifications

3+ years of AEC industry experience with ORD utility relocation design.
Strong interpersonal skills for cross‑functional teamwork.
Ability to solve problems with minimal supervision.
Ability to manage multiple projects under aggressive timelines.
Strong organizational and project management skills.

Responsibilities

Lead development and coordination of 3D utility models in OpenRoads with complex geometry and conflict resolution.
Develop and maintain BIM standards, procedures, and protocols across the company.
Interface with clients and STV engineers to define CAD deliverables per CAD protocols.
Create model-driven plan and profile sheets using OpenRoads drawing sheets.
Mentor junior designers and EITs in ORD workflows and standards.
Troubleshoot OpenRoads modeling and sheet production issues balancing software limits, standards, and schedules.
