About the Role

This role is for the person who stands up the trading platform from the ground up. When a new client or project environment kicks off, you'll install, configure, and get the system running so trading and risk teams have a stable environment from day one.

You'll be working through a global business and technology consultancy serving financial services and energy and commodity trading clients. These are real implementations with real deadlines, often involving a move off legacy infrastructure and onto a cloud-based platform. This is hands-on technical work, not advisory slide decks.

If you've handled a cloud migration for this kind of platform and know what actually breaks during an install versus what the documentation says should happen, you'll recognize the work right away.

What You'll Do

Install and configure the trading platform for new clients and new project environments, from initial setup through a working baseline

Plan and run migrations to cloud-based platforms, including the cutover details that tend to surface late in a project

Work across infrastructure and data layers to make sure the environment is provisioned, connected, and performing as expected

Troubleshoot installation, environment, and integration issues as they come up

Partner with client trading, risk, and IT teams to turn requirements into a sound technical setup

Document environment configurations and handoff notes so the client team can operate what you've built

Coordinate with delivery leads to keep the implementation on track against project milestones

Qualifications

Hands-on experience installing and configuring this trading platform for new customers or new environments

Experience with at least one migration of this platform to a cloud-based environment

A technical background in infrastructure or data, including provisioning, environments, integrations, or data pipelines

Comfort owning the technical setup independently on a client-facing project

Strong troubleshooting instincts and the judgment to know where installs typically go sideways

Based in or able to work onsite in Houston, TX (hybrid)

Consulting or client-delivery experience is a plus
