Job summary

The Goddard School in Edina, Minnesota is seeking resource teachers for opening shifts (6:30am to 12pm, end time negotiable). Roles can be full-time or part-time and focus on creating a safe, nurturing early learning environment for young children.

Ideal candidates are empathetic, dependable, adaptable, and able to communicate effectively with families while supporting classroom staff and adhering to licensing requirements. Training and development are offered along with a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Shows empathy and compassion for young children.
• Is dependable and adaptable and enjoys working together toward a common goal.
• Familiar with childcare center licensing requirements.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations.

Responsibilities

• Establishing and maintaining a safe, healthy, and nurturing learning environment
• Supporting each child’s social and emotional development
• Establishing positive and effective family relations
• Working with the classroom teachers and in conjunction with the entire faculty
• Float in between classrooms and help manage ratios
• Communicate with families
• Assisting with Administrative duties of a childcare center
• Assist with opening procedures
• Light Kitchen duties if needed
