Job summary

The Goddard School in Edina is seeking resource teachers to join our team. Openings are full-time or part-time with opening shift from 6:30am to around 12pm, ideal for individuals passionate about early childhood education.

You will help maintain a safe, nurturing learning environment, support children's social-emotional development, and collaborate with teachers and families. Training and development opportunities and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Familiar with childcare licensing requirements.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and assist with infant handling.

Responsibilities

• Establishing and maintaining a safe, healthy, and nurturing learning environment.
• Supporting each child’s social and emotional development.
• Establishing positive and effective family relations.
• Float between classrooms to help manage ratios.
• Communicate with families and assist with administrative duties.
• Assist with opening procedures.
• Work with classroom teachers and faculty.

Responsibilities of a Resource Teacher include the following:

• Establishing and maintaining a safe, healthy, and nurturing learning environment

• Float in between classrooms and help manage ratios

Qualifications

• Is dependable and adaptable and enjoys working together toward a common goal
• Familiar with childcare center licensing requirements
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations. Must be able to properly lift infants into and out of a crib and changing table
