The Goddard School of Edina, MN is seeking resource teachers for flexible shifts (full-time or part-time) starting early morning. The role focuses on creating a safe, nurturing environment for young children and supporting families.

Ideal candidates bring empathy, dependability, and familiarity with licensing requirements. Responsibilities include classroom support, supervision, open communication with families, and aiding with administrative tasks and opening procedures.

Qualifications

• Shows empathy and compassion for young children.
• Is dependable and adaptable and enjoys working together toward a common goal.
• Familiar with childcare center licensing requirements.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations. Must be able to properly lift infants into and out of a crib and changing table.

Responsibilities

• Establishing and maintaining a safe, healthy, and nurturing learning environment.
• Supporting each child’s social and emotional development.
• Establishing positive and effective family relations.
• Working with the classroom teachers and in conjunction with the entire faculty.
• Float in between classrooms and help manage ratios.
• Communicate with families.
• Assisting with Administrative duties of a childcare center.
• Assist with opening procedures.
