Job summary

Control Risks is seeking an Open-Source Intelligence researcher to support a complex threat intelligence program in a hybrid US role based in Washington, DC. You will conduct OSINT research across venues to identify threats and emerging discourse affecting clients, and contribute to bespoke threat assessments with clear, concise analyses.

The role requires practical OSINT collection, threat analysis, and strong written reporting.

Qualifications

• Practical knowledge of open-source intelligence collection and threat analysis.
• Ability to prepare concise written reports with strong attention to detail.
• Experience directing, collecting, and analyzing information to produce timely, actionable intelligence.
• Practical knowledge of the deep and dark web threat landscape preferable.
• Languages preferable: Spanish and Portuguese.

Responsibilities

• Research and information gathering across multiple venues to identify threats.
• Identify trends in negative chatter surrounding our clients.
• Gather information on individuals and groups posing a threat through open source, social media and deep/dark web research.
• Produce clear, concise written analyses for bespoke threat assessments.
• Peer review intelligence outputs to support and enhance final deliverables.
• Research new sources of information and develop capabilities to collect and analyse information for the team.
