Job summary

BTS Software Solutions seeks an Open-Source Practitioner (Language Enabled) to operate in Reston, VA, with multilingual OSINT capabilities. The role centers on collecting and exploiting PAI, producing OSINT reports, and supporting force protection and counterterrorism missions.

The candidate will collaborate across intelligence disciplines, respond to information requests, and contribute to OSINT training curricula while overseeing planning and technical tasks as directed by the customer.

Qualifications

• Requires TS/SCI with Poly clearance.
• Graduate of Government OSINT training (OS301/OS302).
• Foreign language capabilities (2+/2+ DLPT) or better.
• 3+ years of intelligence experience with BA/BS.
• Experience with COTS OSINT tools including Berber Hunter Tool Kit apps.

Responsibilities

• Operate under a shift work environment.
• Conduct collection and exploitation of Publicly Available Information (PAI) via OSINT tools.
• Exploit social media and publicly accessible databases.
• Produce OSINT Reports and network analysis products.
• Gather, synthesize, and analyze open-source intel for force protection and mission objectives.
• Coordinate with other intelligence disciplines to produce finished intelligence and threat assessments.
• Assess emerging OSINT methodologies and tools and provide recommendations.
• Respond to Requests for Information and brief senior personnel as needed.
• Provide input to OSINT training curricula.
• Oversee operational planning, technical papers, and related tasks.

Job Description

Open-Source Practitioner (Language Enabled)

• Operate under a shift work environment
• Languages: Mandarin, Arabic, Farsi, Korean
• Conduct collection and exploitation of Publicly Available Information (PAI) via use of OSINT tools
• Conduct exploitation of social media and publicly accessible databases
• Produce Open-Source intelligence (OSINT) Reports and other OSINT network analysis products
• Gather, synthesize, and analyze open-source intelligence information in support of objectives related to force protection, counterterrorism, counternarcotic, and other areas of the Army mission
• Coordinate and collaborate with other intelligence disciplines to produce finished intelligence products, including threat assessments
• Assess and provide formal recommendations on emerging OSINT methodologies and tools
• Respond to Requests for Information
• Brief senior personnel and officers as needed
• Provide input to curriculum development for OSINT training requirements
• Oversee operational planning, technical papers, and other tasks as directed by customer
• Troubleshoot OSINT tools

Required Education, Experience, & Qualifications

• TS/SCI w/ Poly
• Graduate of Government OSINT Training courses (e.g., OS301/OS302)
• Foreign language capabilities of 2+/2+ DLPT or better
• 3+ years of demonstrated intelligence experience w/ BA/BS
• Experience utilizing Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) OSINT tools which include but are not limited to the Berber Hunter Tool Kit applications (e.g., SILO, SCRAAWL, Data Miner, and Babel)
• Demonstrated experience in a field related to OSINT research, collection management, or analysis or the exploitation of PAI or social media
• Prior military or government analytical training (e.g., all source, SIGINT, HUMINT or GEOINT)
• Must have demonstrated knowledge of signature reduction and experience, collecting and exploiting from deep web and dark web information

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

• Experience conducting intelligence analytical support for the DoD
• Knowledge of scripting languages and technologies, including Python, Java, R Script, and JEMA
• Experience with researching tradecraft relevancy
• Knowledge of, and experience with, distributed learning methodologies and technologies
• Experience with MS Office and SharePoint
