Job summary

Akuity is looking for an experienced Open Source Community Manager to lead the health, growth, and engagement of the Argo CD and Kargo communities. This role will enable you to work directly with the maintainers and drive presence at key events in the CNCF ecosystem.

The ideal candidate has 5–8 years in community management with a strong background in open-source or developer tools. Enjoy flexible remote work while making a significant impact within the GitOps community.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of community management or developer relations experience in an open source or developer tools context.
• Familiarity with the Kubernetes and cloud-native ecosystem.
• Proven track record of growing a technical open-source community.
• Hands-on events experience: CFP management, booth coordination, recap content.
• Strong async writer for GitHub comments, newsletters, and Slack threads.
• Comfortable with data and able to track what matters.

Responsibilities

• Own and execute the community strategy for both Argo CD and Kargo.
• Nurture relationships with CNCF power users and maintainers.
• Shape Akuity’s event presence across the ecosystem.
• Own and operate community programming and events.
• Serve as a credible external voice for Akuity at industry events.
