The Department of Psychology at Rowan University is seeking to hire tenure-track faculty to begin their appointment in September 2025. This search is part of a broader, multi-year faculty hiring initiative across the College of Science & Mathematics.
Outstanding candidates with a strong research program in Human Factors Psychology to support the launch of a new graduate program in Human Factors are invited to apply. Applications related to the intersection of human factors, health, and/or cognition are preferred but candidates with research in any area of Human Factors Psychology will be considered. Example research foci include, but are not limited to, biomechanics, healthcare solutions, artificial intelligence, human performance, and human-computer interactions.
A Ph.D. in Psychology, Human Factors, or a closely-related field, is required with a conferral date no later than July 1, 2025. Preference will be given to candidates with a track record and/or potential to establish and sustain a strong research program. We anticipate hiring at the Assistant Professor level, but outstanding candidates may be considered at the Associate or Full Professor levels. The successful candidate is expected to develop and maintain an active, highly visible, extramurally funded research program with outstanding scholarship, teach at the undergraduate and graduate levels, and contribute to the various service endeavors in the Department, College, and University.
