Qualifications

• PhD in Nuclear Engineering or closely related field and a minimum of 2 years academic (post doc/research scholar/faculty) or national lab or industry experience.
• Familiarity with nuclear science and engineering areas and high-technology or digital engineering applications.
• Proven ability to conduct and disseminate scholarly research through peer‑reviewed publications.

Responsibilities

• Advance research in focus areas or emerging fields that complement department strengths.
• Build a sustainable research program with proposals and external funding.
• Disseminate research findings through publications and presentations.
• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses including Introduction to Nuclear Engineering and senior design projects.
• Develop graduate courses reflecting your research and emerging developments.
• Mentor MS and PhD students conducting research in related fields.
• Foster experimental, computational, and interdisciplinary collaborations.
