Position Summary: The College of Veterinary Medicine, University of Georgia invites applications for clinical track (non‑tenure track), tenure track, or tenured faculty positions in small animal internal medicine at the rank of assistant, associate, or full professor.


Responsibilities


  • Teach and provide clinical service in small animal internal medicine in the Veterinary Teaching Hospital.

  • Deliver didactic and laboratory courses related to internal medicine topics to veterinary students.

  • Actively participate in the training of residents and interns.

  • Develop a research program, independently or collaboratively with other faculty.

  • Maintain access to advanced technology including endoscopy suite, Ho:YAG laser, electrosurgical resectoscope, 3D MRI, CT, digital radiography, ultrasound, nuclear scintigraphy, full laboratory support, and interventional radiology suite.


Minimum Qualifications


  • Licensed DVM or equivalent degree.

  • Completed an approved residency of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine or the European College of Veterinary Internal Medicine.

  • Board certified in Internal Medicine or eligible for board certification.


Additional Requirements


  • For tenure‑track or tenured ranks, documented research productivity commensurate with rank and a demonstrated interest in developing a research program.

  • For clinical appointment, completion of the criteria outlined in the Guidelines for Appointment and Promotion of Non‑tenure Track Clinical Faculty.
