The Department of Decision and Information Sciences (DISC) at the C. T. Bauer College of Business, University of Houston, invites applications for an open-rank, tenure-track faculty position to begin in Fall 2027.

We welcome applicants from all areas of research under the broad umbrella of Operations/Supply Chain Management and Decision and Information Sciences. Applicants will be considered for the faculty titles of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor, depending on qualifications.

Qualifications

• Candidates must hold a Ph.D. or equivalent in Information Systems, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Operations Research, Computer Science, Decision Sciences, or a related discipline (ABD candidates will be considered at the application/interview stage).
• We seek applicants who can produce impactful research and scholarly contributions that advance both the discipline and the program, and who are committed to delivering excellent teaching.

Responsibilities

• Candidates at the Assistant Professor level should demonstrate potential for excellence in research and teaching.
• Candidates at the Associate/Full Professor level are expected to have an established record of publications in top-tier journals (e.g., journals on the UTD-24 list) and to demonstrate the ability to enhance the department's national reputation through scholarly contributions and professional service.
