Auburn University’s Department of Aerospace Engineering invites applications for open-rank faculty positions (Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor). Candidates in all areas of aerospace engineering are welcome, with emphasis on growth areas like hypersonics, materials, AI integration, propulsion, and space systems engineering.

Successful candidates will develop externally funded research, teach undergrad and grad courses, and engage in service to the department and university. Ph.D.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, or related field by start date.
• Strong record of scholarly achievement or potential.
• Commitment to engineering education and effective communication.

Responsabilités

• Develop and sustain a nationally recognized research program.
• Teach undergraduate and graduate aerospace engineering courses.
• Participate in service activities supporting department and university.
