Job summary

Nevada Gold Mines is seeking an Open Pit Tire technician for Turquoise Ridge operations in Winnemucca, NV. The role focuses on tire maintenance for mine equipment and fleet safety in a live mining environment.

Ideal candidates will have 2+ years maintenance experience, basic knowledge of mechanics, hydraulics and pneumatics, and the ability to work safely with minimal supervision in all weather conditions.

Qualifications

• 2+ years maintenance experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of mechanics, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain tires on mine equipment, vehicles and light duty fleet.
• Maintain correct air pressures and tread depths.
• Inspect and replace worn tires with replacements.
• Repair tires as needed and safe to operate.
• Ensure fleet availability and safe functioning of equipment.
• Keep shop areas clean and safe for others.
• Perform daily pre-shift inspections and hazard checks.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
