Job summary

Nevada Gold Mines is seeking an Open Pit Tire Technician at Turquoise Ridge operations to support a safe, productive mining fleet.

In this role you will service tires on mine equipment and light vehicles, maintain air pressures and tread depths, install replacements, and perform routine maintenance to ensure availability and safe operation of large mining fleets. Strong safety mindset and ability to work with minimal supervision are essential.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of maintenance experience on mobile equipment preferred.
• Basic knowledge of mechanics, hydraulics and pneumatics required.
• Ability to work safely with minimal supervision and communicate well.
• Experience handling tires preferred.
• Lift at least 50 lbs and perform strenuous outdoor work.
• Strong housekeeping and safety record expected.

Responsibilities

• Maintain tires on mine equipment and light vehicles.
• Maintain correct air pressures and tread depths.
• Inspect and replace tires as needed.
• Repair all repairable tires and perform routine maintenance.
• Keep shop areas and tools clean and safe.
• Perform daily pre-shift inspections and hazard identification.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
