Candidates must have at least one year of surface drilling experience and be familiar with various drill types. Qualifications

• Minimum one year’s surface drilling experience using various drilling units.
• Thorough knowledge of drill patterns and structure development.
• MSHA p.48 metal/nonmetal ticket required; training supported.
• Successful completion of pre-employment drug and alcohol testing.

Responsibilities

• Operate a platform drill Cat 6200 and a Sandvik Leopard DI650i.
• Understand mechanics of top head drilling units on a mine site.
• Comply with all safety policies and procedures.
• Perform small mechanical repairs to the drill.
• Communicate effectively with team members, able to work with minimal supervision.
