Job summary

CONSOL Energy seeks an Equipment Operator 1 for Black Thunder Mine in Wright, Wyoming. You will operate heavy earth-moving and support equipment in an open pit coal mining operation, aligning with safety and reliability standards.

You must be at least 18, authorized to work in the U.S., and prepared for rotating shifts and adverse conditions. Strong teamwork and communication are essential to succeed in this role.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Willing to work rotating shifts.
• Able to work in adverse conditions: heat, cold, dust, rain, snow and wind.
• Excellent attendance and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy earth-moving and support equipment in open pit coal mining.
• Fuel, lube, and perform routine maintenance checks on equipment.
• Assist with moving power cables for shovels, draglines and pit lighting.
• Water control: setting pumps and moving water lines to remove water from mining areas.
• Clean equipment as necessary.
• All other duties as assigned.
