Job summary

Kinross Gold Corp. Round Mountain Mine in Nevada is hiring a Mine Equipment Operator to run haul trucks and other heavy equipment in an active open-pit operation under the Mine Supervisor.

You will perform pre-operational inspections, prioritize safety, and stay compliant with company policies while maintaining production.

This role requires a valid driver's license, effective communication, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Must be able to operate a 2-way radio.
• Strong verbal and written communication.
• Understand mining operations; milling and maintenance basics.
• Must read and understand documentation.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Experience operating heavy equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate mine equipment (haul truck, dozer, loader, shovel) per business needs.
• Maintain safety and high production levels; minimize wear.
• Know work area, dump locations, pit policies.
• Perform pre-operational inspections of trucks.
• Report unsafe conditions and follow policies.
• Assist develop other department personnel.
• Meet performance expectations and demonstrate discretion.
• Punctuality and attendance.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
