• Provides coaching, direction, and supervision of the unit/area with 24-hour accountability for operations.
• Directs department education/training to promote professional competence and personal growth and ensures optimal patient care.
• Ensures financial performance and profitability through the development and monitoring of the operating and capital budgets.
• Directs all quality monitoring for designated area, focusing on regulatory compliance and improvement.
• Develops departmental standards, policies, procedures, and protocols; conducts regular rounds with physicians and staff.
