Job summary

The City of Baltimore seeks a Data Governance and Analytics Manager (Operations Manager II) to lead OPI’s analytics practice and drive Open Data and Data Governance programs for Baltimore City. This role combines hands-on analytics with leadership of a multidisciplinary team, delivering decision-ready findings and reusable assets.

Reporting to the Deputy Chief Data Officer, the Manager translates policy into practical operations, oversees data inventories, governance decisions, and publication

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• At least six years of progressively responsible experience in applied analytics, data governance, or related data-program work, including at least two years supervising staff.
• Experience with Python and SQL and delivering decision-ready products is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead analytics, governance, and open data programs for the city.
• Supervise multidisciplinary data/analytics staff and manage priorities.
• Develop reproducible analyses and reusable data assets.
