Comfort Keepers, Bedford, TX, seeks dependable caregivers to provide high-quality, hands-on care for seniors in their homes. Our team supports memory care, daily activities, and safety-focused services to help older adults maintain independence.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year professional caregiving experience in a home care, facility, or healthcare setting.
• Hands-on personal care (ADLs) and safe transfers.
• Direct memory care experience with Alzheimer’s or dementia.
• Valid Driver’s License, reliable vehicle, and current auto insurance.
• High level of patience, empathy, strong communication, and safety focus.
• Ability to pass background checks and complete mandatory training modules.

Responsibilities

• Provide dedicated, safe care for clients living with Alzheimer’s disease or other forms of dementia.
• Use effective communication techniques such as active listening, patience, gentle reassurance, and verbal redirection when managing cognitive or behavioral changes.
• Promote a calm, safe, and structured memory care environment tailored to memory care needs.
• Prepare nutritious meals and snacks, adhering to dietary restrictions and providing feeding assistance when necessary.
• Perform light housekeeping duties, including dusting, vacuuming, dishwashing, maintaining clean living spaces, and managing laundry.
• Encourage client independence by engaging them in physical, mental, and social activities as appropriate.
• Observe, document, and report any notable physical, cognitive, or behavioral changes in client status to the care management team.
• Adhere strictly to the established Plan of Care and safety protocols to protect clients and yourself.

Candidate Qualifications

We are looking for reliable professionals who meet the following requirements:

• Experience: Minimum of 1 year of professional caregiving experience in a home care, facility, or healthcare setting.
• Hands-On Skills: Proven experience delivering personal care (ADLs) and executing safe physical transfers.
• Memory Care Background: Direct experience caring for individuals with Alzheimer’s or dementia.
• Driver Requirements: Valid Driver’s License, reliable personal vehicle, and current auto insurance.
• Professional Traits: High level of patience, empathy, strong communication skills, and an uncompromising commitment to safety.
• Compliance: Ability to pass required background checks and complete mandatory company training modules.
