Job summary

Comfort Keepers is seeking dependable, compassionate caregivers to provide hands-on care to seniors in the Fort Worth, TX area. Shifts include Saturday and Sunday 4PM-9PM (76120) and overnight 8P-8A, with options across Full-Time, Part-Time, and PRN to fit your schedule.

We offer competitive pay ($15.00-$17.00/hr), a supportive office team, paid orientation and ongoing training, weekly direct deposit, and opportunities to grow within memory care and daily living support, with emphasis on safety

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of professional caregiving experience in home care, facility, or healthcare setting.
• Hands-on personal care (ADLs) and safe physical transfers.
• Direct memory care/dementia care experience preferred.
• Driver's license, reliable vehicle, and current auto insurance required.
• High patience, empathy, strong communication, and safety commitment.
• Ability to pass background checks and complete company training modules.

Responsibilities

• Provide memory care and specialized support with Alzheimer's/dementia patients.
• Perform household/daily living tasks and assist with meals, mobility, and activities.
• Document and report changes in client condition to care management.
• Adhere to Plan of Care and safety protocols on every shift.

Memory Care & Specialized Support

• Provide dedicated, safe care for clients living with Alzheimer's disease or other forms of dementia.
• Utilize effective communication techniques such as active listening, patience, gentle reassurance, and verbal redirection when managing cognitive or behavioral changes.
• Promote a calm, safe, and structured environment tailored to memory care needs.

Household & Daily Support

• Prepare nutritious meals and snacks, adhering to dietary restrictions and providing feeding assistance when necessary.
• Perform light housekeeping duties, including dusting, vacuuming, dishwashing, maintaining clean living spaces, and managing laundry.
• Encourage client independence by engaging them in physical, mental, and social activities as appropriate.

Documentation & Safety

• Observe, document, and report any notable physical, cognitive, or behavioral changes in client status to the care management team.
• Adhere strictly to the established Plan of Care and safety protocols to protect clients and yourself.

Candidate Qualifications

We are looking for reliable professionals who meet the following requirements:

• Experience: Minimum of 1 year of professional caregiving experience in a home care, facility, or healthcare setting.
• Hands-On Skills: Proven experience delivering personal care (ADLs) and executing safe physical transfers.
• Memory Care Background: Direct experience caring for individuals with Alzheimer's or dementia.
• Driver Requirements: Valid Driver's License, reliable personal vehicle, and current auto insurance.
• Professional Traits: High level of patience, empathy, strong communication skills, and an uncompromising commitment to safety.
• Compliance: Ability to pass required background checks and complete mandatory company training modules.
