Job summary

Opelika Ford, part of Greenway Automotive Group, is seeking an outgoing and dependable Lot Attendant/Porter to maintain the dealership lot and assist with vehicle movement. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, and a clean driving record, with the ability to work outdoors in varying weather.

You will ensure vehicles are clean, damage-free, and properly displayed, while supporting general cleaning and safety tasks in the shop and lot areas.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous experience preferred.
• Unrestricted driver's license and clean driving record.
• Able to drive both automatic and standard-transmission vehicles.
• Able to safely operate motor vehicles in tight and small spaces.
• Neat, clean, and professional appearance.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Basic computer and internet skills.

Responsibilities

• Keep vehicle lots neat and orderly, moving cars as directed and in accordance with dealership display standards.
• Moves vehicles to maintain flow of traffic.
• Makes key tags for vehicles.
• Retrieves vehicles for customers when picking up, waiting at the vehicle and thanking customers for their business.
• Helps maintain a clean and safe service area by performing general cleaning duties (trash removal, sweeping, etc.).
• Follows all safety and security procedures.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

DESCRIPTION

Opelika Ford is currently looking for an outgoing and dependable individual to maintain the dealership lot. The Lot Attendant / Porter will move inspect vehicles for damage, move customer vehicles in and around the lot and service areas, ensure vehicles are kept in a clean and damage free manner, and help with cleaning and custodial duties in the shop and lot areas.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, an unrestricted driver's license and a clean driving record, a positive attitude and professional appearance, and great communication skills. Candidates must be willing and able to work in a non-climate controlled environment that includes enduring the heat of summer and the cold of winter and must be able to drive both automatic and standard transmission vehicles. Experience as a Lot attendant and/or knowledge of automotive servicing and repair is a plus.
