Job summary

Greenway Ford East Orlando is seeking a friendly Lot Porter/Valet to greet customers, check in appointments, and guide them to the right Service Advisor. You will move vehicles around the lot, keep them clean and damage free, and assist with general shop and lot duties in a non-climate controlled environment.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license with a clean driving record, and the ability to work Saturdays. Prior valet experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers entering the service area with a friendly, professional attitude and direct them to the appropriate person.
• Answer initial questions from the customer and assist as needed.
• Be the first and last impression of the dealership.
• Operate customer and dealership owned vehicles safely and with care.
• Pick up and deliver stock units to and from the service department.
• Keep the service area clean and safe; perform general cleaning duties as needed.
• Verify customer appointments and relevant information (name, VIN, mileage, etc.).
• Assist with loaner vehicles and park vehicles after write-up.
• Deliver keys and repair orders to the Service Advisor after parking.
• Retrieve vehicles for customers when they are ready and thank them for their business.
• Follow all safety and security procedures.

The Valet / Porter will welcome customers and ensure a smooth transition to a Service Advisor by confirming appointments and obtaining basic information about the reason for the customer’s visit. In addition, he or she will move customer vehicles in and around the lot and service areas, ensure vehicles are kept in a clean and damage free manner, and help with cleaning and custodial duties in the shop and lot areas.The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, an unrestricted driver's license and a clean driving record, a positive attitude and professional appearance, and great communication skills. Candidates must be willing and able to work in a non-climate controlled environment that includes enduring the heat of summer and the cold of winter and must be able to drive both automatic and standard transmission vehicles. Experience as a valet and/or knowledge of automotive servicing and repair is a plus.Will require Saturdays!
