Job summary

Opelika Ford is hiring skilled Automotive Service Technicians in Opelika, AL. You will perform repairs per repair orders, test-drive vehicles, diagnose systems, and communicate with service advisors to keep customers informed of time estimates and required services.

The role requires at least two years of experience or ASE certification, strong knowledge of repair procedures, and the ability to work with shop equipment. A valid driver's license and professional appearance are essential.

Qualifications

• Auto Tech or ASE Certification a plus.
• At least two years of experience as an automotive technician, Required.
• Strong knowledge of all aspects of automotive repair and maintenance.
• Working knowledge of shop equipment such as wheel & tire equipment, alignment system, diagnostic equipment, AC equipment and lift operation.
• Must be able to read, interpret, and transcribe data to maintain accurate records.
• Professional appearance and friendly customer service.
• Excellent communication and problem solving skills, including composure under stress.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Performs work specified on the repair order with efficiency and dealership standards.
• Test-drives vehicles and tests components and systems using diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Diagnoses, maintains, and repairs automotive transmissions and related systems.
• Communicates with Service Advisor to inform customers of needed services and estimates.
• Executes repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.
• Willingness to learn with hands-on training.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
