Job summary

Collins Aerospace is seeking an experienced Systems Administrator to join our Information Workplace Services team in El Segundo, CA. This onsite role supports a multi-platform, classified environment, maintaining Windows and RHEL servers, applying patches, and ensuring security compliance per NIST 800-53.

You will manage user access, perform backups, and coordinate with other IT teams on complex incidents and DR testing. A DoD SECRET clearance and Security+ certification are required.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience.
• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
• DoD SECRET security clearance.
• CompTia Security+ Certification.
• Extensive experience applying DoD STIGs to Windows and RHEL systems.
• Proven experience as a System Administrator with Windows and RHEL.
• Proven experience with ESXi virtualization.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain Windows and RHEL servers.
• Perform regular system updates, patches, and security configurations.
• Monitor system performance and ensure high availability and reliability.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for end-users and internal teams.
• Respond to and resolve system-related incidents and service requests.
• Collaborate with IT teams to resolve complex issues.
• Develop and implement backup and disaster recovery procedures.
• Maintain documentation of system configurations and procedures.
