Job summary

Watts Water Technologies is seeking an experienced Welder II for its on-site production team in Hutchinson, KS. The role focuses on welding carbon steel and components for boilers and pressure vessels, following ASME and welding procedures.

You will read drawings, set up equipment, and ensure quality through inspections. The ideal candidate has at least two years of welding experience in manufacturing, proficiency in MIG and Stick welding, and a commitment to safety and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Two years of welding experience in manufacturing, fabrication, or industrial environments.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and welding procedures.
• Competency in MIG (GMAW) and Stick (SMAW) welding processes.
• Able to pass welding qualification tests and follow safety and quality requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform welding of carbon steel and other materials per drawings, WPS, and ASME/Company standards.
• Weld pressure-retaining and structural components using approved procedures.
• Set up and operate welding equipment, grinders, and positioners; read blueprints and welding symbols.
• Conduct fit-up verification and ensure welds meet quality/code requirements; inspect welds for quality.
• Work across SMAW, GMAW, FCAW, and other qualified processes as required.
• Mentor and train less experienced welders and maintain a clean, safe work area.
