Job summary

Watts Water Technologies in Hutchinson, KS is seeking an on-site Welder to fabricate boiler components within our Production team. You will weld carbon steel parts, prepare surfaces and read production drawings, adhering to approved procedures and safety standards.

The role requires experience with MIG and SMAW, ability to interpret blueprints, and a commitment to quality and continuous improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• MIG and SMAW welding in manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read blueprints and welding symbols.

Responsibilities

• Perform welding of carbon steel plate and components per procedures.
• Grind, clean and prepare surfaces before/after welding.
• Operate MIG and stick welders, grinders and fabrication tools.
• Read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, work instructions and drawings.
• Produce welds meeting quality standards and code requirements.
• Follow Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and QC procedures.
• Inspect completed work for quality before progressing.
• Maintain knowledge of welding processes and fabrication techniques.
• Complete tasks within production standards and timelines.
• Support continuous improvement by developing welding skills and qualifications.
