Actalent is seeking a Construction Project Manager to oversee day-to-day field construction activities for a major water and wastewater treatment facility project in Edison, NJ. The PM will serve as the primary onsite representative, coordinating with engineering staff, inspectors, and contractors to ensure safe, on-schedule delivery.

The role requires strong leadership of field teams, oversight of inspectors, and thorough management of documentation and project controls in a live plant

Qualifications

• Extensive experience managing complex infrastructure projects.
• Direct experience with water and wastewater construction.
• Leadership of field construction teams and inspection staff.
• Strong coordination with engineering, inspectors, and contractors.

Responsabilités

• Serve as the primary onsite owner representative for stakeholders at the Middlesex Water Company site.
• Manage contractor performance to meet scope, schedule, quality and safety requirements.
• Oversee project inspectors and coordinate inspection activities.
• Coordinate field activities with engineering to align with design intent and specs.
• Review construction activities for compliance with plans, specs, and regulations.
• Monitor progress, identify variances, and drive corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate project documentation and reporting.
• Support submittal reviews and contractor deliverables with project teams.
• Resolve field issues with contractors and inspectors.
• Maintain schedules and open communication among all parties.
• Act as the daily liaison between owner and contractors.
• Lead planning, coordination, and oversight of multi-discipline work.
• Run project meetings on progress, coordination, and issue resolution.
• Coordinate multiple contractors in an active plant environment.
• Ensure client satisfaction through transparent, responsive communication.
