Job summary

Quail Run Behavioral Health Hospital in Phoenix seeks a dynamic Utilization Management Coordinator to join our utilization review team. This PRN- as-needed role supports certification/recertification processes and discharge planning, ensuring alignment with insurers' requirements during patient stays.

TheUC Coordinator works with the treatment team to understand patient care needs and to advocate for timely access to services through physician contacts and team meetings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s prepared healthcare professional in Counseling, Psychology or Social Work required.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• Must have or be able to obtain a Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card.

Responsibilities

• Act as UM Coordinator communicating with external case managers/managed care for insurance certification/recertification.
• Assist treatment team in understanding insurer requirements for continued stay and discharge planning.
• Advocate for patient access to services during treatment team meetings and physician contact.
