City of Beaumont is seeking a Water Customer Service Supervisor to oversee daily operations of the water utility billing office, manage account maintenance, and resolve customer issues.

The role requires strong supervisory skills, experience in utility billing, familiarity with AS400, and proficiency in word processing and spreadsheets. This is a 100% onsite position with standard hours and occasional extended hours as needed.

Qualifikationen

• Graduation from high school or equivalent with courses in bookkeeping or accounting.
• Five years of customer service experience; one to two years supervisory preferred.
• Experience in public utility customer relations and/or utility billing encouraged.

Aufgaben

• Coordinate and supervise daily water utility billing and account maintenance.
• Handle customer problems or complaints in person and by phone.
• Review data and make timely account decisions; plan billing schedules and delinquent collections.
• Approve adjustments, refunds and billing changes; manage monthly receivables and deposits.
• Prepare reports for management; assist in policy development for Customer Service.
• Review payroll, maintain payroll records; train and evaluate staff; interview applicants.
• Ensure supplies and equipment are maintained; monitor the division's annual operating budget.
• This position requires 100% onsite work and standard hours with possible extended hours.
