Job summary

UCHealth Cherry Creek Medical Center in Denver, CO is seeking a PRN Ultrasound Technologist to perform diagnostic sonography in accordance with organizational standards.

You will review orders, educate patients, prepare equipment, and image patients while ensuring safety and quality. RDMS/RVT/RDCS or ARRT(S) certification and BLS are required; this onsite role does not offer remote work.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound Technologist program.
• Registered as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS), Vascular Technologist (RVT), or Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) by the ARDMS or certified in Sonography (S) by ARRT.
• BLS through AHA or Red Cross with card in-hand before start date; renewals via AHA.

Responsibilities

• Reviews patient history and orders; educates patient about procedures and equipment.
• Prepares equipment and supplies; selects exposure factors and imaging parameters.
• Implements safety standards; performs QC and reports equipment malfunctions; positions patient and performs imaging procedures.
• Enters, transmits and reports scan results; may work with Radiology students.
• Works with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
