Job summary

UCHealth Broomfield Hospital’s MRI department is seeking a PRN Radiologic Technologist to perform magnetic resonance imaging in accordance with scope and standards. This onsite role emphasizes patient education, image quality, and strict safety practices.

The position requires ARRT MRI (or ARMRIT) eligibility, proper RT registration, and BLS certification, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and follow department policies during flex shifts.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program.
• Registered RT and MRI registry or registry eligible with registry within 12 months.
• BLS certification with card in-hand before start date and valid through 60 days after hire.

Responsibilities

• Reviews patient history, physician orders and schedules; educates patient about procedures to ensure understanding and cooperation.
• Prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications within scope; monitors patient condition and reports changes.
• Prepares equipment and supplies; selects exposure factors and imaging parameters; performs safety checks and quality control; troubleshoots equipment.
