Job summary

Boston Scientific invites motivated students to join the Global Electronic Medical Equipment (EME) R&D Team as a Software Engineering Intern in Arden Hills, MN. You will work on UI software for medical devices, applying C++ and OO programming in a secure Linux environment.

You’ll collaborate with engineers, gain hands-on software development experience, and learn best practices in a regulated medical device setting. This internship is onsite five days a week with relocation support if eligible.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in CS, EE, or related field.
• Rising junior or rising senior with graduation dates between Dec 2028 and May 2029.
• Experience with C++ programming.
• Available for a 12-week internship starting May 17th or 24th, 2027.
• Reliable transportation to work.

Responsibilities

• Assist in design, development, and debugging of UI software for medical devices.
• Contribute to software development using C++ and OO programming principles.
• Collaborate with software engineers and cross-functional teams to build reliable software solutions.
• Exposure to Linux environments and secure software development practices.
• Participate in code reviews, discussions, and troubleshooting activities.
• Learn and apply software engineering practices within a regulated medical device environment.
