Job summary

UFP Site Built designs and manufactures value-added wood and non-wood products for construction. The Truss Designer creates accurate roof and floor truss designs for single-family, multi-family, and commercial projects.

Responsibilities include using Mitek software to design trusses, optimize for efficiency, and review data files. The role supports sales and production with design services and troubleshooting, with additional duties as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent.
• 2 to 5 years of roof/floor truss design experience required.
• Working knowledge of Mitek software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design metal plate-connected wood trusses and wall panels using Mitek software.
• Optimize designs for maximum efficiency.
• Review orders, layouts, and data files for accuracy.
• Assist sales and production with design service and troubleshooting.
• Perform other duties as required.
