Job summary

UFP Site Built designs metal plate-connected wood trusses and wall panels for single-family, multi-family, and commercial projects. The role uses Mitek software to optimize designs for maximum efficiency and to review orders, layouts, and data files for accuracy.

You will assist sales and production with design service and troubleshooting, and perform other duties as required. Location flexibility includes Conway, SC with responsibilities across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school graduate.
• Preferred bachelor's degree in a related discipline or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 to 5 years of experience in roof/floor truss design.
• Working knowledge and experience using Mitek software is preferred.
• Knowledge of floor and roof systems and ability to spec out beams and hangars.

Responsibilities

• Design metal plate-connected wood trusses and wall panels using Mitek software.
• Optimize designs for maximum efficiency.
• Review orders, layouts, and data files for accuracy.
• Assist sales and production with design service and troubleshooting.
• Performs other duties as required.
