CSS Metal Shaped Solutions seeks an experienced tooling professional to keep production tooling ready, build and repair tools, and mentor apprentices. You will document tool history, escalate issues, and help standardize tooling inventory while supporting new tool introductions in a fast-paced environment.

The role emphasizes progressive stamping, quality systems, and Lean practices to meet cost, lead time, and uptime goals, within a team-oriented shop with heavy tooling emphasis.

Competenze

• Journeyman certificate or 5+ years in tooling fabrication and setup.
• Experience with tooling repair, setup, and in-production support.
• Familiar with ISO quality systems and SPC in production.
• Exposure to Medical and Aerospace environments ISO13485/AS9100.
• Fluent in blueprint reading and GD&T.

Mansioni

• In-press tooling service and pre-run maintenance.
• Build and repair tools, components, fixtures, gauges.
• Train apprentices and share best practices.
• Document Tool History and Setup clearly.
• Escalate maintenance needs to Supervisor promptly.
• Collaborate with a Senior Tool & Diemaker to bring new tools into production.
• Support Lean initiatives and tooling project development.
