Job summary

SMARTECH-CSI.com is seeking an experienced Tier II Field Service Hardware Technician for on-site, contractor-based support across a Texas territory. You will diagnose, repair, and replace computer hardware and peripherals at customer sites, manage service calls, and maintain inventory while delivering professional customer service.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of field break/fix experience, Windows 10/11 proficiency, and basic networking.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of field break/fix computer hardware experience.
• Troubleshoot desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals.
• Experience with enterprise hardware from Dell/HP/Lenovo and others.
• Windows 10/11 knowledge and network basics (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, Wi‑Fi).
• Read service documentation and follow repair procedures.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Respond to dispatched service calls within SLAs.
• Diagnose and repair desktops, laptops, workstations, servers onsite.
• Replace hardware components (drives, memory, boards, power, displays, batteries).
• Troubleshoot Windows hardware/OS issues; configure BIOS, firmware, drivers.
• Support printers, scanners, POS systems, and network devices.
• Perform installations, upgrades, asset swaps, and de-installations.
• Document work, parts, and signatures via dispatch app; manage inventory.
