Job summary

Everforth Apex Systems seeks a Tier 1 SOC Analyst to monitor and respond to security events in Rockville, Maryland on-site. You will analyze data from SIEM, firewall, IDS/IPS, and endpoint solutions, escalating incidents as needed and coordinating with the team.

The role requires 1–3 years in a SOC or recent graduates with certifications, working second or third shift, and US citizenship. Strong written and verbal communication and familiarity with Splunk are essential.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years in a security operations center environment or a recent college graduate with industry certifications.
• Experience with a variety of operating systems (Windows, Linux, UNIX) in a functional capacity.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
