Job summary

Crystal Stairs, Inc. in Los Angeles, CA is seeking a Technical Writer for Stage One to develop and maintain SOPs, work instructions, workflows, job aids, and training materials. The role translates complex regulatory and program information into practical guidance for staff and end users.

You will collaborate with program management, trainers, IT, and QA to ensure accurate documentation, version control, and knowledge transfer. 100% onsite position with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in related technical writing; substitutions allowed.
• Min 4 years professional experience in technical writing.
• Knowledge of plain language, editing, information design, and document lifecycle management.
• Excellent writing, editing, proofreading, organization, and problem solving.
• Ability to translate complex concepts into clear written material.
• Ability to interview subject matter experts, evaluate sources, and reconcile feedback.
• Ability to tailor content to different audiences.
• Ability to document software functionality and user steps.

Responsibilities

• Serve as internal documentation partner to Stage One PMs, trainers, IT, QA, and other areas.
• Translate policy interpretations and contract requirements into procedures.
• Develop and maintain SOPs, system work instructions, and related training resources.
• Create workflows, desk guides, job aids, checklists, and reference materials.
• Maintain document inventories, version histories, and archives.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
