Job summary

Intuit, Inc. in California seeks year-round TurboTax Retail Experts to assist in-person customers at TurboTax Retail or Flagship locations. Provide full-service tax preparation, tax advice, and product support while building local clientele and community relationships.

You will work on-site, serving as a trusted advisor, using TurboTax tools to deliver accurate tax solutions and foster customer loyalty in a fast-paced retail environment. Excellent communication and tax experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted EA, CPA, or attorney license is required and preferred.
• Must have or be able to obtain PTIN to file taxes.
• Must possess or obtain state licenses, certificates, permits, or bonds.
• Minimum of 3 years of paid experience filing 30+ federal and state Form 1040 returns per season using professional software.
• Familiarity with Circular 230.
• Comfortable working onsite at a TurboTax location, Sunday through Saturday, for at least 20 hours/week; hours may scale up.
• Willing to build local online social presence as a TurboTax Expert per policies.
• English/Spanish bilingual is a plus.
• Experience in holistic tax advisory beyond filing.
• Willing to wear a TurboTax uniform and work in a front-facing retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Represent TurboTax as a local ambassador and public face.
• Engage with prospects, nurture leads, convert to long-term clients.
• Support local marketing efforts to make taxes approachable.
• Provide hands-on tax advice and complete prep services for simple to complex situations.
• Conduct discovery sessions and tax reviews to maximize deductions and refunds.
• Use government resources and team expertise to deliver accurate solutions in plain language.
• Deliver exceptional customer experience and help clients achieve financial goals.
• Build long-term trust turning transactions into ongoing relationships.
• Interact with customers in-person and via Intuit video tools.
• Address client inquiries while solving tax-related challenges.
