Job summary

Brooksource is seeking a Project Manager for on-site work in Lake Mary, FL. This contract-to-hire role involves overseeing multiple transmission and substation projects, coordinating planning, permitting, procurement, construction, and closeout with a strong emphasis on cost, schedule, and stakeholder management.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field, at least 7 years of progressive PM experience (Master’s may substitute), and strong communication skills to

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, project management, business, or related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive project or program management experience (Master’s degree may substitute for one year).
• PMP certification is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall management of projects from development through construction and closeout, coordinating planning, permitting, estimating, procurement, construction, and closeout.
• Serve as primary point of contact between client, project teams, contractors, and stakeholders.
• Drive schedules, manage scope, identify dependencies, and coordinate activities to meet milestones and in-service dates.
• Maintain detailed project cost forecasts, accruals, commitments, and monitor financial performance.
• Identify, track, and manage project risks, issues, changes, and decisions affecting scope, schedule, or cost.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary project teams and ensure clear responsibilities and deliverables.
• Facilitate meetings, stakeholder coordination, action-item tracking, and follow-up to ensure decisions are executed.
• Support procurement, contractor coordination, bid activities, and change management as needed.
• Provide clear project reporting on schedule, cost, risk, procurement, and status.
