Job summary

RTX – Collins Aerospace is seeking a Systems Engineering Manager for an onsite role in Largo, FL. Lead systems engineers, drive lifecycle rigor, and manage resources to meet DoD program priorities.

You will mentor engineers, ensure compliance with development processes, and contribute to bids while aligning staffing with strategic goals. Requires DoD Top Secret clearance Day 1, and US citizenship.

Qualifications

• STEM degree with 8+ years of experience or advanced degree with 5+ years of experience.
• Active and transferable DoD Top Secret clearance Day 1.
• U.S. citizenship required for access to program information.
• Graduate degree or Leadership Development program in progress/completed.
• Experience leading engineering teams with cost and schedule accountability, including Earned Value Management.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and functional leadership to teams of systems engineers across the lifecycle.
• Manage engineering resources to meet program priorities and budget.
• Mentor senior engineers and align skills to mission needs.
• Ensure disciplined use of development processes and lifecycle plans.
• Contribute to proposal reviews and technical guidance for bids and captures.
• Oversee staffing decisions and performance management to build a high-performing team.
• Collaborate with leadership to advance departmental and strategic initiatives.
