Job summary

Collins Aerospace, an RTX company, seeks a Systems Engineer to join the Athena Control Systems Team. You will design, develop, and certify software for safety-critical military and commercial systems, working with a team of world-class engineers.

You will own components, document lifecycle artifacts, and perform system-level tests while coordinating with leadership and customers. Up to 15% travel is required and security clearance is mandatory.

Qualifications

• STEM degree and minimum 2 years of relevant experience or an advanced degree in related field.

Responsibilities

• Design, code, integrate, and test embedded software systems.
• Generate and maintain software documentation for lifecycle artifacts.
• Take technical ownership of one or more components within a system.
• Summarize technical software issues to project leadership clearly and timely.
• Work with moderate oversight from leadership.
• Maintain and perform system level tests and report results.
• Verify system functionality and performance against customer requirements.
• Support root cause analysis for reported system anomalies.
• Contribute to technical discussions with customers, leaders, and engineers.
• This position may require up to 15% travel.
