Job summary

Raytheon seeks a Systems Administrator to join a high-performing team at the heart of a US government function. The role supports a VM-based data system with 24x7 operations, embedded on-site in Springfield, VA, coordinating with teams in St Louis.

On-site schedule is Mon-Fri 6:00am-2:00pm with one weekend on-call per month. Candidates must have a Bachelor's (or advanced degree with 2+ years) and a transferable TS/SCI with Poly clearance.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a Bachelor's and a minimum of 5 years prior relevant experience, or an Advance Degree in a related field and a minimum of 2 years' experience.
• Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
• Security+ certification.
• System administration experience across Linux systems.
• Experience in the Intelligence Community (IC).
• Experience working with dislocated or geographically separated operations.
• Experience with (and/or) LDAP, NFS, TCP/IP, Splunk, Grafana, and NIS/NIS+.
• Experience in issuing and managing PKI Certifications.
• Experience with (and/or) SQL, C++ and Java.

Responsibilities

• Ensure maximum system availability.
• Follow engineering instructions to conduct system updates/upgrades in coordination with the ISP and the support factory.
• System administration functions.
• Conduct VM-based services to ensure system operation.
• Support development/modification of technical documentation.
• Complete and track lessons learned and metrics.
