Bowhead seeks an Entry-Level Systems Administrator to join the NSWC Corona Program Office in Norco, California. The Systems Administrator will support daily operations of Windows and Linux systems, and collaborate with cybersecurity personnel in an agile environment.

Responsibilities include hardware/software installation, patching, documentation, accreditation support with the ISSO, and Tier II incident response.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field; or equivalent work experience.
• 3–5 years of experience in system administration or software programming within a DoD or federal IT environment.
• Proficiency in at least one scripting or programming language (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Python, or JavaScript).
• Security+ certification or equivalent.
• Experience with virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V) and system monitoring tools.
• Understanding of cybersecurity frameworks, STIGs, and DoD IA policies.
• Familiarity with version control systems (Git) and basic SDLC practices.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• U.S. Citizenship and Active DoD Secret clearance (TS/SCI preferred).

Responsabilités

• Administers and supports daily operational requirements of computer network systems including workstation, file servers, and web servers.
• Install hardware, software, systems upgrades, network accounts, and security measures; document changes.
• Maintain and monitor system configurations for data integrity.
• Develop, test, and maintain scripts or small applications to automate system tasks.
• Support integration of new technologies into classified and unclassified environments.
• Provide Tier II support for escalated service tickets and incident response.
