Job summary

Raytheon seeks a Systems Administrator to join a high-performing team at the heart of a US government function. This is an on-site role supporting a VM-based data system critical to day-to-day operations with quick troubleshooting and restoral requirements.

The selected candidate will work on-site in Springfield, VA, with a 10:00pm–6:00am shift, Mon-Fri plus one on-call weekend per month, coordinating with a team in St. Louis. A TS/SCI clearance and Linux administration experience are required.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a Bachelor’s and a minimum of 5 years prior relevant experience, or an Advance Degree with 2+ years experience.
• Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
• Security+ Certification.
• System administration experience across Linux systems.
• Experience in the Intelligence Community (IC).
• Experience with LDAP, NFS, TCP/IP, Splunk, Grafana, and NIS/NIS+.
• Experience issuing and managing PKI Certifications.
• Experience with (and/or) SQL, C++ and Java.

Responsibilities

• Ensure maximum system availability.
• Follow engineering instructions to conduct system updates/upgrades in coordination with ISP and support factory.
• System administration functions.
• Conduct VM-based services to ensure system operation.
• Support development/modification of technical documentation.
• Complete and track lessons learned and metrics.
