Job summary

RTX is hiring for a System Safety Engineer II in an onsite role across multiple locations including Woburn, MA, with DoD-grade security requirements and a strong emphasis on system safety and human system integration. The role involves contributing to safety strategies, risk assessments, and engineering collaboration to ensure compliant, safe product development.

Qualifications

Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience.
Experience with risk assessment concepts.
Experience with creating technical reports, technical writing and/or creating presentations.

Responsibilities

Execute the safety strategy for the program to meet all its milestones with system safety/HSI features integrated into the product in compliance with contract and awarded funding.
Support the program schedule and integrated system safety tasks and activities into program Integrated Master Schedule (IMS).
Engage the Lead System Safety Engineer and Portfolio Engineering Lead for guidance on technical execution, artifact review, attending customer reviews, etc.
